David F. Bernhardt has been named the Chair-Elect of the Real Estate Section of the Richmond Bar Association.
March 1, 2004:
Fred J. Bernhardt, Jr. has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Westminster Canterbury Foundation. Westminster Canterbury is an ecumenical, faith-based, non-profit, continuing care retirement community located in Richmond, Virginia.
February 14, 2004:
Cary A. Ralston has been appointed to the Clients’ Protection Fund Board of the Virginia State Bar as a member representing the Third Disciplinary District. The Board reviews, investigates and rules on petitions for compensation arising out of dishonest conduct by a lawyer who is a member of the Virginia State Bar.

November 25, 2003:
Effective on November 25, 2003, Florance, Gordon and Brown, P.C. changed its corporate name to:

This name change is reflective of the Firm’s commitment to change with the times to better serve the ongoing needs of its clients and the community.
November 1, 2003:
After almost 50 years in the Mutual Building, Florance, Gordon
and Brown, P.C. is relocating its offices. Effective November
1, 2003, the Firm's offices will be located on the 19th floor
of the One James Center Building located at 901 East Cary Street.
This new space will enable the Firm to better serve its own
internal need for additional space as well as to better serve
its clients.
Although this new space is still in the heart
of downtown Richmond, Virginia and is located just across Cary
Street from the Mutual Building, the move is still quite a
significant event for the Firm. Many of the lawyers in the
Firm have spent their entire careers in private practice in
the Mutual Building. As a result, while everyone at the Firm
is excited about the move, some are also just a little nostalgic.
All
phone numbers and e-mail addresses will remain unchanged. The
Firm’s new mailing address will be:
